What would you expect/get if you asked for Corporal Punishment at the various levels on this scale? How much harsher is Medium over Light? Heavy over Medium?

Gave me this thought: What if when you contacted the Fortress, you didn't get a choice about who you see, what would happen to you, or how long the session would last, you were just allowed to state the time you could arrive and your budget? Everything else being left to the whims of the Mistresses and whatever they felt like doing that day?

I've never tried a 1 hour session. Two hours will fly by, and you'll probably wish you'd booked a longer session, I know I wish every one of my sessions had been longer!I mean, is 1 hour better for a first time? I am a total novice. Can one book a 90 minute session? Nervous in Virginia.

I think last nights episode went from subtext to domtext!I haven't watched season 2 yet. But I do agree, there are a lot of BDSM undertones. I love it when they are so subtle, but only a true kinkster or domme or sub would be able to pick up on them.

It's not an easy thing to find, actually, because at the simple mention of sex, so many mens' brains shut off and their genitals take over.
I must confess to shutting off my brain in session, but it's something I hope for, to stop thinking and analyzing and just feel, to experience things through a different lens.

Although I wouldn't define myself as purely sapiosexual, although it's certainly a factor. A better analogy as far as I'm concerned would be to consider two axis Intelligence and health/beauty* with my level of attraction being proportional to the product of those two axis.*I wouldn't separate health and beauty as there is a strong relationship between the two.
I think a puzzle missing some of its pieces missing might well be a good metaphor for me, I'm completely lacking in street smarts, and occasionally lacking in any common sense (In some respects its quite interesting how chronic stress can impair cognitive function, as I haven't been quite right since a couple of traumatic events last year).I agree with Mistress Haru, and I find that while intelligence is key, a balance of emotional and mental intelligence is preferable. Different types of intelligence play different roles in a personality, and if there is a deficit of one, it's like a puzzle with half of its pieces missing.

I had an amazing time with Mistress Tran yesterday, she really set the bar very high for the other Mistresses (I'll be seeing Mistress Jung today in about 2 hours). Apart from one moment that left me terrified enough to consider running from the room (that was due to a miscommunication, which upon reflection was my fault) Mistress Tran was mostly gentle with me, she didn't even leave any marks on me, something I'm aware she enjoys doing.
I really wish I lived in the US!

I have my first session scheduled for Saturday 7th (with Mistress Tran), and while I'm excited, I'm feeling a lot more nervous than usual, as so far this as been quite a different experience than I'm used to.

I know exactly what you mean, I first contacted the fortress on the 1st of August, but my first session won't be until September 7th! It's driving me nuts, I keep thinking I should've booked a session for more than 2 hours.

As any of you may know, I love bondage especially rope bondage. Lately, I have been playing with other types of restraints- chains, leather cuffs, mummification, spreader bars, hand cuffs, and the many other restraint gear we have at the Fortress.
Usually, I like to combine different types of restraints but I was wondering if some of you prefer some items over another?
Thoughts?
Mistress Tran while I consider rope bondage to be an art, and deeply pleasing to my sense of aesthetics, I find it often takes too long to achieve the goal of rendering me helpless in the limited time of a session to be practical. Leather cuffs or shackles, coupled with chains can be very efficient at rapid restraint, and they do have a certain brutal beauty to their stark functionality. Leather is more comfortable but with steel once you're locked in, you know there's really no way out until the Mistress decides to unlock you.
Spreader bars are great for ensuring a slave has vulneraballs!

"Triple" Mistress sessions are possible? Wow! I doubt I would survive, but I guess that wouldn't matter...I agree with Kilgore- a double domme session is very fun and a great way to meet more Mistresses. Plus we are more devious in twos and threes.....
Actually, I must confess I'm not new to the forum, I have another user name (which I won't be able use until after I leave New York, which is why I made this one), I've wanted to come to New York for a while, with misfortunes preventing me every time! It's only thanks to this year's holiday going so horribly wrong that I need a consolation holiday to make up for it that I'll be stopping in the US at all!Also, the forum is a great way to read about which activities and mistresses may appeal to you.
The problem is, every Mistress here seems to be amazing in her own unique way, so that makes it really difficult to know who I would be most compatible with simply by browsing the forum.

I'll be in New York at the beginning of september and I'm interested in playing at the fortress but I don't know which Mistress to approach. I could fit a maximum of 3 sessions in the time I have, but I don't know whether to see a different Mistress each time, or have a trilogy of scenes with the same Mistress? Would it be ok to contact the fortress with my interests and ask which Mistress I would be most compatible with?

That's interesting. Despite her reputation, Mistress Tran was the gentlest of the 4 mistresses (Mistresses Haru, Jung, Kang and Tran) that I've sessioned with.
