One of likely many…I remember taking a shower on a hot summer day at my friend’s house.  I kept imagining (hoping?) that his older sister would walk in on me and pull back the curtain.  In later fantasies she was accompanied by the next-door neighbor.  I was probably around 12.

Much later there was a scene from a James Bond movie (The World is not enough?) with Sophie Marceau that helped confirm my kinks.  And much, much later there was a quick shot in Entourage where three women do a favor for Vince by catering to a reporter’s fetishes.

I think pop culture probably did amplify things a little, but most of it was there.  Man, I loved the movie "Bound."  Seriously, it's a popular Hollywood movie that's fundamentally a lesbian bondage flick.   I saw Gina Gershon in "Cabaret" on B'way after that, and while she is not a great singer, she was super hot.  And while it leaves a lot unsaid, Cabaret is probably the kinkiest B'way hit ever.  And after "Bound" not shockingly both Wachowskis turned out to be trans and at least one a serious sub.

Bound is such a fabulous movie!! And don’t forget Jennifer Tilly. Love the sex scene where she turns out to be the top in their sexual relationship.

I didn’t know but perhaps am not surprised one of the Wachowskis is interested in BSDM. Such a fetishy output lol

There wasn't a specific moment, it was the result of my childhood. Like a Pavlovian dog, I keep crawling back to pain and humiliation.

I appreciate you sharing your perspective. It's always interesting hearing how different people's journeys into kink are unique.

Probably just having chance decide what is going to happen to me.

Chance has a way of keeping people honest. Never knowing what's coming next can be part of the fun. 😈

Goes all the way back to my childhood, where a scene on a Saturday morning cartoon of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles stoked a feeling I was confused about in the beginning, but ultimately grew into these interests as I grew into adulthood.

It's interesting how something that seems so innocent at the time can leave such a lasting impression. Clearly that feeling stayed with you long enough to understand it on your own terms. 😏

It's interesting how those early memories can take on a completely different meaning once you're older. It sounds like the curiosity was there long before you had the words for it, and then discovering that those fantasies existed in the real world must have been a pretty eye-opening moment. Was that when you started actively exploring, or did it still take some time before you decided to dive in?

I love watching how different personalities deal with uncertainty.

Has a sub ever completely defied your expectations in that moment?
