Taking a cue from the aforementioned Greek mythology, I’ll be filling my ears with hot wax, ouch!, and, as I’m devoid of a ship’s mast, having myself tied to the next best thing, a “No Parking” sign. Despite these precautions and the cacophony of NYC sounds, sirens, honking horns demanding attention, etc., I still hear her dulcet tone orchestrating my subjugation. Is surrender my only option?
