I thought some of you might find this documentary interesting since it's about the Sex Industry (something we are all very familiar with), and more specifically, it's about porn. I think this is significant because so many young people (and maybe even old people) learn about sex through porn and use it as a way to develop their own sexual identity.
It also features Belladonna and Sasha Grey who both have engaged in "fetish porn" (I don't know if there's any other type anymore, or maybe it's just all I look at), and I'm sure a lot of you are fans of theirs. I think it's really interesting how porn enables and/or influences how we express our desires, and that is specifically what we engage in through the Fortress, the realization of our fantasies. I'm curious as to what everyone thinks about the fact that sexual desire (something that is intimate, and grounded in the instinct to reproduce) is served by an industry in many forms. It seems perfectly natural to me, because most of us here have "abnormal desires", but how abnormal are they? Look at the size and variety of the industry and the prominence of fetish porn.
I'm interested in your relationship to the industry, I think everyones experience is valid, I believe everyone has a unique perspective and I hope you share yours.
