Hi: You are not crazy at all! This is actually a very normal fantasy as it makes the fantasy more of a reality when the humiliation is public. I think it falls along the lines of public sex. In a city like NYC it is not dangerous unless you were being dropped off in a bad part of town in the middle of the night. Me use? I thought it was for your use on me. Seriously, I prefer the white paddle in the Pink Room. It looks large in the Gallery pictures but in reality is fairly small. I find it to be versatile and very effective.
