A former Japanese Mistress chose this restaurant for us to enjoy together. I wish she was back in NYC. I bet Dannyboy knows who I'm talking about LOL The lacquerware is all handmade, etched, and mostly painted with gold. Special evening with a special woman, and Bean of course 🙂 -

Setsubun celebrations were lively the night Bean and I went to Kushiage Uemura for dinner. Everyone was dressed up in odd costumes, I loved seeing women wearing kimonos off one-shoulder (never seen that before!). We threw "BEANS!" at the Setsubun monster! I noticed later (after re-watching the video) that someone fell down 😞 PS Setsubun is celebrated all over Japan, I just happened to be in Osaka that day. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Setsubun Setsubun.mp4

Kushiage (deep fried skewers) and a wine pairing. The chef was taking a liking to Bean LOL He even helped prop her up for pics a few times LOL He had a neat translator device we used to communicate. I told him the first wine pairing was the best and he gifted me a bottle of that wine! He's awesome 🙂 -
