  1. Yay! I got a limerick!

Now, you get a prize if you can make a limerick that rhymes around my last name, Sunya. :)

New York has a Mistress named Sunya

Who when asked will happily croon ya

    a painful sweet song -

    she'll make you sing along,

and if you sing out of key then she'll tune ya.

  2.

and Spankbri, for once, your sympathetic view is refreshing. We are all indeed oddballs in this world. With the wonderful internet, now we can share all of our oddball details and not feel so alone. I count that as one of the biggest blessings of modern technology, the removal of totally isolating viewpoints.

"...for once, your sympathetic view is refreshing." ??

Not sure where that's coming from. I tend to make posts tweaking male-female relationships at times, because I think it's funny and FF tends to turn things on it's head, making it funnier. But I rarely get the backlash I'm hoping to generate. Praps you ladies are too polite.

Or maybe I'm typically sympathetic and that's annoying...?

  3. Hey johnny - if your reading of the bible is so frightening, maybe you can take comfort from the fact that there's so many things out there besides the bible, and if they can't all be true....maybe perhaps your frightening view of things doesn't have to be true either? Imagine yourself as an eastern mystic, perhaps. They'd never get any of that out of reading the bible, so perhaps there's a choice. We're not locked in.

  4. Yeah Johnny - every so often when I'm feeling complacent in my own thoughts and views of the world and convinced that everyone probably sees things more or less the way I do, someone opens up with their deepest thoughts and I realize just how complicated the human mind is, and how much variety is out there. In other words, I don't know $#@& about the human condition. I'm sure if I posted my deepest thoughts people would be scratching their heads about how i make it through each day, but it all feels perfectly fine and reasonable to me.

So no worries about posting your inner depths. We're all oddballs in this world, and it's good to be reminded of it.

  5. I'm actually on Cape Cod right now, waiting for it to ramp up slowly on sunday to hang glide and soar the dunes. We got lucky last year with a Halloween storm, this looks like another good one.

Then pack up and clear the hell out of dodge.
