His images resembled Superman (Clark Kent) and Wonder Woman. His erotic art was compiled into a book and it's pretty neat. I just finished reading Eric Stanton & the History of the Bizarre Underground where it briefly goes into Spider-Man's origins. Erotic cartoonist Stanton shared a studio in NYC with Spider-Man and Doctor Strange co-creator Steve Ditko and, according to the book, there is some speculation on how much of an input Stanton had regarding Spider-Man's development. This is especially in regards to Spider-Man's tight outfit and red mask resembling a bondage hood. Stanton mentioned in an old interview that he didn't really contribute much to Spider-Man, but said that the idea of him shooting webs from his wrists was his idea.
