When we meditated our spirits were strong Face to face ,silent and pure until our wings broke into fire At either curved point what bitter wrong Can the fortress do to us , that we should not long, be here contented?Think .In mountuing higher The Mistresses would press on us and aspire To drop some golden verses of golden song Into our deep , dear souls.Let us stay Rather united at the Fortress Where the unfit contrarious moods of men recoil away And isolate pure spirits , and permit a place to stand and love in for a day With secret energy and love surrounding it.
