Yes, I think your word construction is certainly more appropriate. I agree with your comments. Of course not all visitors and clients to prodommes even see their interactions as acts of submission so your words don't apply to everyone. But as far as my own bdsm journey goes, my introduction to pain and humiliation was a means of pleasing the Mistresses that I saw in my earliest days.
