It's interesting how those early memories can take on a completely different meaning once you're older. It sounds like the curiosity was there long before you had the words for it, and then discovering that those fantasies existed in the real world must have been a pretty eye-opening moment. Was that when you started actively exploring, or did it still take some time before you decided to dive in?

It's interesting how something that seems so innocent at the time can leave such a lasting impression. Clearly that feeling stayed with you long enough to understand it on your own terms. 😏

Well, the 8 trigrams from the I Ching, plus the two rings. Once upon a time I knew the symbolism for the trigrams, (and mostly the hexagrams) but I've forgotten it all. If I recall correctly, those things are used for feng shui, though I have no idea how.
