I thought some of you might find this documentary interesting since it's about the Sex Industry (something we are all very familiar with), and more specifically, it's about porn. I think this is significant because so many young people (and maybe even old people) learn about sex through porn and use it as a way to develop their own sexual identity.

 

It also features Belladonna and Sasha Grey who both have engaged in "fetish porn" (I don't know if there's any other type anymore, or maybe it's just all I look at), and I'm sure a lot of you are fans of theirs. I think it's really interesting how porn enables and/or influences how we express our desires, and that is specifically what we engage in through the Fortress, the realization of our fantasies. I'm curious as to what everyone thinks about the fact that sexual desire (something that is intimate, and grounded in the instinct to reproduce) is served by an industry in many forms. It seems perfectly natural to me, because most of us here have "abnormal desires", but how abnormal are they? Look at the size and variety of the industry and the prominence of fetish porn.

 

I'm interested in your relationship to the industry, I think everyones experience is valid, I believe everyone has a unique perspective and I hope you share yours.

It seems like an interesting documentary from the little clips I've watched so far. I love the one with Sasha Grey talking about how she aspires to revolutionize porn "...and a pop on the face." line of the weekend ;-) Like domination and fetish, we should always be creative in our explorations. Leather Whip Domme with a crawling slave who's "been a bad boy" is booo-ring!

 

So Rapaat, have you ever watched something in a porn video and attempted or desired to recreate it? If so, what was it?!?

I really do believe that creative exploration is a must, other wise it seems like routine turns into boredom. I think in both the sexual and fetish arena it is beneficial to continually keep things fresh.
