"Ascenseur pour l'échafaud" is my favorite Miles Davis album. It's so sexy and film noir, like walking around New York at night.

 

"Slow Dance" is my favorite John Coltrane song. Pure elegance.

 

"Portrait in Jazz" for Bill Evans. Particularly the "Spring is here." piece. It transports me to my lazy Parisian cafe afternoons.

Thanks for your reference to "Ascenseur pour l'échafaud", sounds like the perfect soundtrack for that late night glass of red, or whiskey after shooting photos after a rain storm in the city. I used part of Freddie Freeloader for a noir scene in an old short. The mood fit perfectly. And listening to Slow Dance right now on late October rainy evening. So good.
