Watched "From Here to Eternity" and remembered the scene from The Godfather where Tom Hagen said to Jack Woltz "Give Johnny Fontaine a part in that new war movie......"

That was the movie and Frank Sinatra got that part.

Wasn't planning on watching this, but it came on and I stuck with it.

Glad to see you are keeping up with all the latest entertainment.

”No whammies, no whammies, no whammies!”...sounds like something I may have been screaming during my last session.  If anyone heard that they may have thought I was about to win big.

I've added this to my list!

I'm watching Upload on Amazon Prime right now. Pretty good. Living in a simulation in the afterlife...

I've been wanting to check this out.  Looks funny. Did you finish it Ms. Kang?  If so how did you like it?

Has anyone watched Cobra Kai on Youtube.  I liked the first two episodes and thought it was a smart idea for a Karate Kid spin off with Johnny being the protagonist and Danny being the antagonist.  And it's pretty funny.

Nostalgic, I watched the first two seasons. Alittle corny but has nostalgic value.

"The Horror of Dracula" starring Peter Cushing and Christopher Lee (1958). That was the first vampire movie that made a lasting impression on me.

Dannyboy:

When I was a little boy I went the movies with my friend and his mother. During the coming attractions they showed The Horror of Dracula and Frankenstein. We were very young and (I didn't know this till later) my friend's mother covered his eyes during the attractions. I had nightmares that night.

I'm truly stuck in the 60's this week. My Three Sons, Leave it to Beaver, I Love Lucy, Gomer Pyle, Green Acres, The Twilight Zone, and Mannix. I've even been listening to early 60's music. The Twilight Zone episode was "Kick the Can." I think I want to go back, too.

This is an old story but in '71 I went to England with a cousin of Christopher Lee.  He called several times during our stay but Lee never returned his phone calls. One evening we ran a 3,000 meter race on the track in Bristol. After the race a bunch of the guys walked through a graveyard to get to the local pub. My friend put in his vampire teeth just to be in the proper spirit. Kind of scared me how much he looked like a real vampire. After a couple of pints nobody cared anyway.

Which Cape Fear? 60's original, or 90's remake?

90s with Deniro and I didn't even know it was a remake.

I need to watch all the Saw movies now from start to finish since I've only ever seen the first one and I know people say the first one is the best one but I've seen scenes of the later ones on youtube and no it fucking isn't, Saw is torture porn OBVIOUSLY and the low budget of the first one meant they couldn't do as much. And I also need a bunch of 80s action movies right now ideally. And even more ideally, Fortress would you mind just opening up around late July/Early August if possible? That would be perfect for me and I'd really appreciate it. Other NYC dommes are opening up I've seen on twitter 2 or 3 independents and 1 dungeon have opened recently. People lose their lives from Covid but losers lose their souls from not sessioning. So you have to strike a balance between saving lives (as the left says), saving the economy (as the right says), and saving lonely losers from meaninglessness (as I say). Please.
