Not sure if you classify it as a toy, but I think masks and hoods are underrated.  They are such powerful tools to strip a sub of their identify and to isolate them. By removing the ability to see ones self (either because the mask removes identifiable facial features or hood blocks off senses) it refocuses the attention to the Dom. 
 

Ideally, using a mask can make a sub realize that they are no one anymore, and that their checklist of kinks is no longer relevant.

I have to agree with this. Every time I’ve had a sub wear a mask, I view them as playthings to use at my disposal. Less than human.

Wearing one myself allows me to forget my own restrictions. As unhinged as I am now, my alter ego scares me more.

I think that sounds are underrated.  I have heard that many either fear them or do not like them.  I have found that in skilled hands they are a powerful, powerful of erotic pleasure and of torture.

Exactly the sort of answer I was hoping to see! I hadn’t considered this in a scene before. 

Now I’m pondering a very slow, sensual strap-on training paired with the fork. Arms tied behind back and fully extended, kneeling probably… would be fun to create a predicament with gravity.

Masks have a way of bringing out truer selves, I’ve found. What’s left when you erase the face you wear everyday?

Transformation from a person with agency to an object of use is a goldmine.

Absolutely I will, One of my fantasies with beads is to be mummified with a slit in the back and front (for a vibrator) where they can be inserted. To be left immobile for hours on your own no one to help knowing the person who left you there is out and about with their day knowing full well the predicament you're in. In the couple hours the beads could be slipping out one by one reminding you it's there and perhaps a punishment depending on how many you let escape you. Well, not exactly a 'toy' (more of a prop)....chewing gum.
