Tights and Pantyhose Shopping Guide

At the suggestion of Mistress Lovely (because let’s be honest… a suggestion from my Mistress is as good as a command in my book)… I’ve listed some quality pantyhose and tights sellers below. As someone who loves and wears hosiery at least 5-6 days a week (I legitimately have well over 100 pairs I actively cycle through, another 100 I wear only on certain occasions) and an advocate of supporting small businesses, I find the below brands to be worth the price you pay for the type of hosiery noted:

1. https://lecherynewyork.com/ - Lechery - small NYC based business specializing in glossy tights. If you’re looking for gloss and want a solid homegrown product from the same city as the Fortress, you will find no better tights than Lechery (~$25 a pair)

2. https://www.lesbelles.co - Les Belles - a Parisian founder, making Italian tights, in the heart of Brooklyn… how’s that for a melting pot? They sell a wide variety of tights but the bit that I think makes them unique is their commitment to the seamless style of tights (no seam down the middle). They do sell seamed patterned tights (eg: fishnets) but their seamless products put others to shame imo ($20-$30)

3. https://www.yourthreads.co/ - Threads - Canadian financial professional who quit her job at a big bank after getting frustrated with how hard it was to find a good pair of pantyhose (and realizing the potential demand). Their pantyhose are made in Italy and the founder is a big believer in the classic ankle and foot shaped pantyhose (as opposed to the tube fit pantyhose generally sold today). Where I think they shine most are in their contour nudes. These are 20D hose, and the shades really blend in. Perfect for the summer months. They also deserve an honorable mention for their TFM pantyhose that are constructed with the male anatomy in mind (they have a fly) and their opaque contour tights that has won an award ($20-$30… although their TFM’s are pricier at $44)

4. https://sheertex.com - Sheertex - another Canadian small business that grew into a phenomenon. Their emphasis on unbreakable tights spawned a bunch of imitators (the “pineapple test” was originally one of their ads). While they underwent some drama in leadership that resulted in the founder being forced to leave, and have had to scale back the scope of their offerings, their product is still solid for anyone looking for tights that are extremely resilient to tears. Beware though… the unbreakability doesn’t necessarily extend to the seams at the gusset… but still the most resilient pair of tights you will find in the market today ($50… unless you go with the “mystery” pairs… which can at times go as low as $20)

5. https://memoi.com - MeMoi - this brand has far more than just tights, but I think they make some of the best and most unique sweater tights out there. Whether traditional colors, time-tested patterns (ribbed, argyle etc) or unique patterns, their sweater tights are warm, resilient and a good price ($20-$30… but some sales have them at or below $15)
