I wonder if a 45 or a 33 would work better. 45s seem easier to handle, but there's much less surface area. I used to have a strange old record that felt about as thick as three or four normal ones. That probably would've made for a pretty good paddle. I've only been spanked with things in the Fortress, and I think the most unconventional was actually the soles of Mistress Rey's feet! Existentialists have worried about this problem for a while, but the way your essay resolves into sensuality and play gives me a different thought. Rather than can we be free I want to ask whether it even matters whether we can be free. I really love the playfulness and creativity of your view. You show how the limitations and restrictions of the past can be transformed into possibilities for the present. I love that you assert both that we've come a long way and that old ways can benefit us now. Some people might see these as contrasting ideas, but in your hands they complement and deepen each other.
I'm reminded somewhat of the Epicureans. We use that word as a stand-in for hedonism, and we think of hedonism as little more than gluttony, but the Epicureans—and you—prove how profound hedonism can be. Gluttony dulls the senses; in the right hands, the pursuit of pleasure heightens and sensitizes them. In the end your musings take us to the idea for a game, a fun and pleasurable game... and it's a game that both relies on and leads to a profound feeling, sensitivity, insight... the privilege of intimacy.
Who cares about freedom when we can have that?

Why are we drawn to the people who become our friends? In many cases, my friendships with women started because I found them attractive and introduced myself, but then for one reason or another it became a friendship rather than something romantic or sexual. Even though I cherish most of these friendships, and am content keeping (most of) them platonic in the sense of non-sexual, I don't think this fits our Head Mistress's query, since, in the right circumstances, I'd go for it.
But so what? It's definitely difficult to have a sustainable friendship if one of the friends is actively pining after the other, but simply finding someone attractive is a very different matter. The friendships I have with my close female friends are true friendships, even if I do sometimes wonder what they taste like

As with the tens unit, the wartenburg wheel being something I experienced in medical setting, having these items used in a dungeon setting just never caught on with me. That is not to say that everything in a medical setting would not crossover into dungeon play. The wartenburg wheel leaves one with a prickly or tingly sensation. Is that what you do to subs?

Dannyboy is right, of course, but it's especially hard to understand why they would call a pass on that play. Even if two rushes go nowhere (or even lose a yard or two), you have an easy FG to go up two scores with (had they run the ball twice) ~2:30 left in the game... Sometimes big games are won and lost because less experienced coaches overthink the easy ones.
In any case, we all got to watch one of the all-time great games, won by the (I would think) inarguably all-time best quarterback and coach.
Still, it's a shame that years from now, no one will ever think to bring up that incredible catch by Jones (and it was an incredible throw, too), not only because they lost, but because the drive came to nothing.
