  1. Has anyone been bound in plastic wrap?
  2. Lucky, I would have loved to see New York at this time period- today it's so hyperreal; like a remodeled, sanitized version of the past. What do you think?
  3. Guilty pleasure... hmm I've very strict with myself. Except I allow myself this one thing from time to time.... donuts. Or gummy bears. Oops that's two.
  4. That is a really interesting thought. But their culture is so strict I cant imagine that couples would feel comfortable deviating from the norm.
  5. Okay, but there isnt anything in particular that you like now?
  6. That's an interesting observation, Mistress Fei. The Japanese do have an aesthetic ideal they call wabisabi, which values imperfection and transience as something beautiful. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wabi-sabi
  7. I would recommend Whiplash! It was such a good psychological movie, has you gripping your chair until the end! One of the best movies I've seen in a long time and it has great reviews. :-)
  8. I thought it was more about trauma too, but remember the scene where she puts lipstick before going to bed and smiles before she starts dreaming? I interpreted it as more a complex situation because of that key scene, a fantasy induced by trauma.
  9. Have you ever seen the old Beaux Arts New York Penn Station? A tragic loss in the history of architecture. It looked so beautiful. All that is left of it are the two lion statues in front. Ever noticed them?
  10. Never been to Hop Sing- can't wait to try it now. Lol @ that Dim Sum girl song
  11. Getting really inspired by all these safe word games!

  15. Oh you will be! Thank you for the welcome :-)
  16. Favorite topic- I love films! I tend to love films with some strong social commentary and controversial viewpoint on a topic. It could be any topic- as long as it's culturally relevant and progressive. For example I really loved some films with French actress Catherine Deneuve in the 60s. She starred in this CHILLING psychological film by Roman Polanski himself, called Repulsion, where an extremely paranoid woman is repulsed by men and sex but secretly entertains fantasies of being raped while she is left alone in her apartment. She also played in another 60's movie Belle du Jour, where she plays a Parisian housewife who daydreams of all kinds of wild sexual trysts, and becomes a day time prostitute where she could explore her sexuality while her husband was away at work. I love a cinematic work that explores the complexity of people's needs and desires, especially a woman's sexual desires, as imagine in the 60s, this wasn't even something possible to discuss openly! Or that women were even seen as having sexual agency.
  17. I admire the mastery of bondage, such as demonstrated in the works of Suzuki Rage who hails from Japan. He creates meticulously crafted images of beautifully bound women. I love the asymmetric ties, how he accentuates their forms by framing parts of their bodies with geometric patterns of rope. One limb tied, a bared nipple framed, for example. It's so visually rewarding to go through his galleries. (Which you can find here: http://ropemagic.art.coocan.jp/ ) Which are your favorite bondage ties? Have any other bondage artists to share?
