Thank you for all of your suggestions ? We looked into them and have a few on the back burner! This month, we're going to check out a local Italian place. Mistress Zito is going to order for us because we're not allowed to speak Italian LOL

That article also mentioned the fifty shades movies (I know they're supposed to be terrible but still) were actually blocked from releasing in mainland China. And the ways journalists described this couple that the article about... I think it's safe to say that they are less open to bdsm in China by and large.

Thanks for the article .. a little reality is needed sometimes .. we take so much for granted here.

So interesting! I have some friends in China (SH and SZ) that travel to HKG and they say the scene parties keep getting shut down and get smaller and smaller. Do you know what the HKG scene is like outside of the parties (ie Dommes/sessions)?

    Ms Kang & tokyocanelover ...

What is the official Chinese government stance on bdsm?

Do they just ignore it or aggressively suppress it?

Are you sure it's not because the ferry is free?

    Dannyboy

    Dannyboy,

Truth be told.. I haven't been on the ferry in probably 20 plus years but i decided to try a Uber-ferry-Uber trip for my first FF session ... bad decision.

Went strictly Uber on my 2nd visit.

But... if i had witnessed a fistluvr - like performance that first time ....  ehhhh maaaybe .. would have had to flip a coin.

    Stay well

So my goal is to do more sessions this year with the understanding that it may be a farewell tour.

Farewell tour?? .. I think not.. (the Stones have been on one farewell tour or another since the 70's)

You should know better than anyone that you are not dismissed until Ms Kang allows you to go.

This could just as easily be a wake-up call.

I like kevybaby's evil twin better... unless all this is a huge tsunami of typos...??

I'm at a Festivus party right now and it's fucking terrible. All parties just generally are fucking terrible always. Parties are never not terrible. Fuck parties. Fuck Christmas. Fuck this entire fucking season and all who celebrate it. Get the holidays over with. Worst time of year. A Christmas-themed session might push my limits, I'd hate that. Fuck your joy. Everybody's always hanging out and if you're not wanting to be part of people you're more of an asshole than usual fuck all of it it's so fucking terrible. And if you call me a "grinch" because I think it's all terrible you're a fucking stupid asshole.

What tips would you provide, when you think back to your first ever visit to the fortress or wish you had known in advance? What makes a good first timer, beyond obedience?

You'll find a wealth of insights and info about sessions in general, within the forum .. so once you get learn how best to navigate it, spend as much time as you can there.

    Welcome to the community.

Nah.  Scout is played by someone who's 30.  Which is to start by taking the essential power of the story - how evil looks to children and to what extent can adults can guide them - and throwing it out the window.  Broadway, like Hollywood most of the time, is fundamentally lazy.  Brilliant, but lazy.

I mentioned this in another post, but it's worth repeating.   The HBO series of "My Brilliant Friend" is an excellent adaptation of the novels.  It is in Italian with subtitles but is better for it. .. the casting is great, all unknown Italian actors .. the actress who plays Lila, during her teenage years, is compelling.

Many years ago when I was young, horny and handsome

Hey Dannyboy .. i was that guy too !!

Got a quick BJ from my perfect other while driving down to LBI on the Garden State one bright summer day.

We happened to be in a pretty low-slung sports car ..(a '68' TR 250).. with the top down .. and so had attracted some attention from the taller vehicles.

But no big thing.. those were the good ol' days, long before someone on a cell recorded everything in sight.

I'm gonna say it was "discreet" cos she had very long hair.

Does Ms Zito really speak Italian? ... Such a beautiful language to simply listen to.

My parents were Italian but never spoke it while raising us (except when they were mad) .. and i've always regretted not learning the language.

I'm imagining a session where she only speaks/commands in Italian and my being severely punished and humiliated for not understanding .. the more i plead "non capisco"   the the more i am slapped and punished for not doing what i'm told.. and she repeatedly threatens to "piscia su di te"   or "sputo in bocca"  whenever i open my mouth.

    ahh ..  Bellissimo.

Perhaps it is better this way; you'll never know.

    Dan,

Thanks for your thoughts .. and, as usual, sage advice  ... That's probably the best way to reflect on things like this.. never knowing of a possible bad ending is preferable to actually living through one...  And we have the luxury of painting the unknown in the best colors possible.

I'm guessing by your "Murray the K" reference in another post that we're of the same NYC generation, so we're both at that point in life where reflecting creeps in more often...

Wishing you well for the holidays .. and whatever the new year brings.

    Frank
