  1. I've been a Bettie fan for a long time. In 1998, the first official biography on her came out. She had been living a private life for decades. Some were unsure if she was even still alive. However, the authors found her, and were able to write an exclusive bio -- Bettie Page: The Life of a Pin-Up Legend. I was fortunate enough to buy this upon release, and one that was signed by Bettie herself! Many years later, Bettie finally began making public appearances before her recent passing. The book is no longer in print. So glad I have it.
  2. Not a stretch at all. Glee comes from the writers and producers of the always-over-the-top Nip/Tuck.It was just an example of writers taking some minor by the use word play. Glee is chock full of sexuality and entendre. They especially amp things up during Sweeps. My main point is: you will see increased sexuality and kink going "mainstream" with the need for the more clean media (e.g., television) to compete with less censored outlets like cable shows, the Internet, Apatow flicks, etc. Overall, thanks to the Internet, sexuality itself has become more mainstream. Kink simply follows.
  3. I don't think S&M is becoming more mainstream. In the media, it simply goes in phases, like many re-cycled trends. Sure, right now you have Rihanna and Lady Gaga. Before that Madonna (anyone remember Erotica and the Sex book?) I do see it a little more in a surprising place: Network televsion. But, that makes sense. They are trying to compete cable networks that of late have been loaded with T&A: HBO, SHOWTIME, STARZ. Hints of kind and S&M in mainstream television allow them to be provocative while skirting around censorship by be elusive. I remember a surprising line years ago in Veronica Cars in a discussion about s guys expertise with tires, Veronica said, "Wait, you won an award for a rim job?" Ever watch Glee? Their glee clubs name is The New Directions. Sound like anything else? How about, The Nude Erections. If you pay attention, you'll notice a lot of these quips slipped in. Pun intended.
  4. While I mentioned the foods to cut out in my response, it is well more complicated than simply what foods are allergies triggers. Yes, some people are 'allergic' to certain foods, so obviously should not eat them. But allergies are an overall symptom of a taxed immune system. Grains are a major problem, and humans did not evolved to eat them in the quantities we do (especially refined). Grains are not well absorbed, and the protein of the grain penetrates the wall of the small intestine, and is literally attacked by antibodies sent out to take care of these 'invaders' just as the body would do with a pathogen! I highly recommend a book called The Paleo Solution by Robb Wolf (and his blog, robbwolf.com). He is one of many scientists and doctors who now have a better understanding of the symbiosis of food and health. It also is worth getting bloodwork done to see what some of your triggers are. I know everyone on here giving advice means well, but it is simply common knowledge or though. Yes, saline washes help. Yes, pills can help. But, these options do no more than cover up the symptoms. What needs to be asked and addressed is: Why is there a problem?
  5. - Skip Claritin -- it only works with 60% of people - If you have been taking any of the pills consistently, say Zyrtec for a year, switch to something like Allegra. Your body gets used to the same one after a while. - Stick with the Neti Pot (or similar) and saline rinse. It cleans out allergens, and the salt kills certain microbes (a high allergen) Now, here is the biggie... Allergies are an autoimmune disease. Many of which can be treated, or lessened in severity by diet. Sad to say, but most of the American diet causes inflammation and immune problems. If you really what to figure this out, stick to what you are currently doing so that you are only changing some variables... And then change your dietary habits for just 2 weeks. It might seem difficult, but 2 weeks is worth it to find out what the issues may be. For 2 weeks: cut out ALL grains, legumes, dairy, sugar, and nightshade vegetables. Also, avoid refined foods, as they sometimes contain these triggers. Eat a whole foods diet of meat, fish, vegetables. It will be fairly low carb, so if you feel the need for some starch, eat sweet potatoes, and white rice (not brown, it contains gluten). Keep alcohol to a minimum, especially wine. Unfortunately, people love popping pills. But, if we simply ate the right foods, much of the Diseases of Civilizations (DOCs) would disappear (obesity, diabetes, allergies, depression, autism, heart disease, etc.) Good luck.
  6. Absolutely, from the tap! For me, involves all of the senses. However, unfulfilled not from-the-tap fantasies are: - Switch drinking own, and spitting into my mouth - Dom to sub to my mouth
  7. Unfortunately, I don't think it has given me an advantage. It is just my mind running wild.
  8. Funny. I totally try to evaluate what someone might be into. Random people on the subway, bars, etc. It is obviously fantasy. But actually played itself out in grad school and became a short but insanely amazing relationship. Thirteen years later, I still remember the exact perfume of clove cigarettes and p-ssy. I digress. Especially when I start a new job, I'm curious. I've worked at very small and very large places. I always figure there is a small percentage of freaks. And, I try to figure out who . Of course, I'm in there somewhere.
  9. I'd always been open to experimenting with the various girlfriends. But, nothing took hold like one evening in my mid-20s. I was at my girlfriend's house, and had to use the bathroom. When I went in, I noticed her sister's panties laying out in the open in the laundry basket. She had just showered. The pervert in me decided to check them out. I noticed how extraordinarily yellowish they were inside. I decided to take a sniff. I didn't expect to be overwhelmed by the sweet, profound, and powerful scent of her piss that sent a shock of awakening to the core of my brain. I pressed it to my face and inhaled as much as I could. I knew then and there, there was no going back.
  10. I forgot about barley tea. I haven't had it since the 90s. I've been drinking "tea" now made from cacao bean shells. http://www.tisano.com/cacao-tea.php
  11. Mistress Jung, Had no clue about this. I will def look into it. Thank you. DR
  12. In general, I am excited about the discovery of new things: books, ideas and philosophies, movies, music, etc. In some ways, it is akin to cultural archeology for me. I do have some habits of collectors: movies, music and books, whether physical or digital formats. The same sense of discovery applies to liquor, wine, tea, coffee. But it isn't about collecting. They run out, and I re-buy what I like, but I am of course always trying new ones. And, YES, I love drinking them all. The unique flavors and nuances of each. For example, I have 6 bottles of Rye Whiskey, and they each have different characteristics. Likewise, Darjeeling vs. Formosa Ooling. Pinot Noir vs. Malbec. Ethiopian vs Kenyan. Etc. But then, each makers variation and production of individual varietals. I am definitely a foodie, but this habit of seems predominant with acquiring liquids.
  13. Honestly, don't think I have any other fetishes. I have other things I like, but wouldn't categorize as a strong fetish, like the liquids.
  14. I've somehow fortunately never been with a vanilla girl. I guess it was the years of film/art school. I didn't broaden my fetish. It is simply that I've noticed a possible connection. I've always been into drinking things and always trying ones I've never had before: liquor, wine, beer, tea, coffee, juices, etc. So, I am simply curious if there is some odd connection. I always thought my love of GS/TT was (without getting graphic) simply due to my preference for giving, over receiving. But now I also wonder, are there types of nonsexual crossover fetishes?
  15. Perv-wise, my major fetish has been GS/TT. I first became aware of it in the 90s, but did not act upon it until some time mid-2000s. And then I found I liked being spit on, squirt on. Swallowing is essential. But recently, something has occurred to me. I always thought I was just a foodie. But now that I look at it, I seems I may in general have some type of liquid fetish. I am always seeking out the new in coffee, tea, and liquor. My home bar is stocked with over 100 high-end libations. I am constantly upgrading my finds in coffee, grinders, presses, machines. I buy tea by the pounds. Years ago at work, when my friends and I would run out to a bodega or eatery, they'd always make fun of me for having to try the newest liquid on the shelves. I'm fascinated by this prospect lately.
  16. I would guess the main answer to this is money. I certainly have more money and a higher income at 40 than I did in my 20s and 30s.
  17. Useit.com might be a little hardcore to dig through for non-professionals. My background is Web creative (creative strategy and art direction) and User Experience (UX) for Fortune 100/500. (Not bragging, just giving creds). Rule of thumb: at the very least use a 12pt typeface. Also, reversed typed (such as on here: white type on black background) is a strain on the eyes. (Sorry). I'd be happy to look at your site design in-progress to help identify any UX/Usability issues.
  18. Sorry. Seems to be just a prototype.
  19. Yes! With lovely "crunch berry"-like nipples! (a term I first used when seeing Ling Bai's amazing nips in Playboy)
  20. Totally love flat and small. Nothing against big. Super fun as well. But a smaller breasted, even flat, confident woman... nothing sexier. Then again, I'm all about the V -- so much more delicious, fascinating, foreign, perfect. Actually. Women rule. Not even worth detailing. It is all amazing and humbling. I've not yet been to Fortress but so eagerly await that day.
  21. No fair. Hard to compete with a robot toilet!
  22. wolfy: not sure what you are asking. my point was that the logo font of this forum is the same used in AVATAR. mistress zhao: glad you also liked it. i know it isn't the most original or well written story. i do have problems with it. bad dialogue. utterly predictable. another example of White Man saves the day. but the sum is greater than the parts. definitely jaw dropping visuals. plus, its hard not to crush on Neytiri. mistress jung: absolutely saw it in IMAX 3D, only, in a smaller IMAX screen in Elizabeth, NJ. the NY shows were sold out for days. def want to see it at the lincoln which is the larger IMAX screen. if you see it, IMAX 3D is the only way to go.
  23. The "Fortress Forums" logo is the same font -- Papyrus -- used for AVATAR. Speaking of, anyone see it? Fairly astonishing.
  24. I believe she said "not silly." Check out Arth Hats at 75 W. Houston St. Their site sucks: http://www.arthhat.com/ Review on NYT: http://nymag.com/listings/stores/arth/ And stop by for a cocktail at the amazing Pegu Club, next door. (Though, they are $13 a pop. Have someone else pay.)
  25. FYI. Chanwook Park's brilliant vampire film, THIRST, comes out on DVD (no Blu-Ray yet) this coming Tuesday. A must for fans, genre geeks, art-house snobs, and movie lovers in general.
