I hope you get to share some time with her, she's really great! I had no real interest in Shibari before I met her, but her passion for Shibari as an artform is genuine and infectious! And subbies, seriously, you need to meet her! I don't mean to be reductivist but Mistress Rey has exotic Eastern beauty, continental sophistication, and she really believes in Shibari as a form of art. I had been sessioning for a bizarrely long time before learning the most basic tip...be on your knees facing the door, with your eyes towards the floor, when your Mistress enters. Sets a very nice tone. The only exception would be if you are especially eager/nervous to verbally discuss your limits before getting started...it is kind of tough to segue into that sort of "pre-session" talk if you are already kneeling. But verbalizing your limits should not be an issue if your emails to the Fortress setting up the session were clear. Only other tip is to try and relax (easier said than done if it is your first session anywhere) and have fun!

This post got me thinking too. My 10-year Fortress anniversary passed by earlier this year, but another 10-year anniversary is coming up in January...

I have known of (never served or even met) a couple of Pro Dommes with English as a second (or 1a and 1b) language who put "being dominated in a language you don't speak" out there as a sort of "ultimate test" for a sub. It's got to be a fun change-of-pace for the Domme as well. I'm not sure exactly how many the Fortress has right this second, but I know at least two Fortress Dommes are multi-lingual and the Fortress has a great history of polyglot Dommes!

Haha, I was thinking I'm glad I CAN'T read Arabic but for the same reason. Arabic characters really are beautiful in a way Latin and Cyrillic charters sort of...well, aren't. But if I knew what it meant I think it would distract me from how visually beautiful it is!

Got clothespins applied to that sort of flappy flesh BETWEEN the fingers and toes once. I was fighting really hard not to quit but it was surprisingly intense! If the clothespins leave you bored, try having the Mistresses use a flog, rather than their hands, to remove them. I'll NEVER forget that session.

I know right? The whole "bookish girl takes off her glasses and shakes out her hair and OMG SUDDENLY SHE'S BEYOOOOTIFUL" is so cliche and sort of backwards sometimes. Hoorah for hot girls in glasses! But I think the thing here is Mistress Hadid is mind-blowingly hot in both pictures.
