    For anyone into 80's nostalgia, Ready Player One is fun. In this case the book is better than the movie. Audio book is read by Wil Wheaton.

    A Song of Ice and Fire (Game of Thrones). The books definitely have more back story and lore. But I prefer the show as it's very well produced and is tighter story telling.

    For me most of the healing happens in about 2 weeks. Sometimes I have lingering marks that last longer but are gone by 3 weeks.

    I have had similar fantasies. The aspect of kidnapping scenarios that appeals to me is that extra loss of control. If it could be done right the "victim" couldn't even control when the session begins or ends.
